Sanarus Cryoablation - A Better Treatment Experience

Sanarus' cryoablation technology provides a fast, effective, and minimally invasive way to diagnose and mark breast lumps and destroy fibroadenomas, ultimately advancing the level of patient care as you grow your practice.

Cryoablation is safe, effective and comfortable for patients and physicians. Diagnosis of fibroadenoma is typically performed by needle biopsy. Cryoablation treatment is performed using a cryogenic probe guided by ultrasound imaging into the center of the lesion. Depending on the size of the lesion, the cryoablation procedure takes 10-30 minutes. It is administered in an outpatient setting with local anesthesia and results in complete destruction of the fibroadenoma, with minimal pain or scarring and excellent cosmetic results. Sanarus offers solutions for tumor diagnosis, marking, and treatment.

The ImarC™ Marker System provides permanent visibility of the biopsy site under variety of imaging modalities, including x-ray, ultrasound and MRI.

Treatment

Visica 2The Visica 2™ Treatment System offers a minimally invasive treatment option for fibroadenomas with complete ablation and no reported regrowth in over 2,000 cases. The in-office procedure has few complications, excellent cosmesis and patient satisfaction with minimal pain and recovery time.

Recovery and Follow-up

Initial patient recovery from the Visica 2 treatment procedure takes 4-6 hours. Depending on the size of the lesion, the patient will usually feel a lump for a number of months as the body reabsorbs the abnormal tissues. With a fibroadenoma smaller than 2 cm, complete resolution can be expected in 66% of patients at 6 months; 75% of patients at 12 months.1 All patients who undergo the cryoablation procedure should have clinical follow-up by the treating physician.
